To Explore and Celebrate Cultural Diversity

The overall aim of Inner City Production is to explore many of the key issues relevant to contemporary life, which includes those which are increasingly relevant as we explore what it actually means to live in a multicultural society, characterised by its cultural diversity.

We will explore issues such as:

• How valid and essential is the concept of national identity?
• How do we cope with the cultural generation gap between migrated parents and UK born children
• How do we break down barriers in traditional stereotyping of cultural groups
• How do we balance traditional cultural values and morals with the reality of everyday living in another country
• How does the erosion of traditional cultural values affect our family life

Our mission is to use sharp humour in combination with high levels of sensitivity to explore complex, contentious issues surrounding cultural diversity and most importantly bring these stories to a wider audience through mainstream media.
